Exercise Equipment Rowing Machines.

Filed under: Sports — goldenblogtips @ 8:19 am

Exercise equipment rowing machines are great machines for strength training and building muscle. In strength training, rowing (or a row, usually preceded by a qualifying adjective — for instance a seated row) is a form of muscular resistance training exercise that shares many characteristics of rowing a boat without involving water or a boat, which is where an exercise equipment rowing machine comes in.

When done as a weight-lifting exercise, its purpose is to exercise the muscles that draw the rower’s arms toward the body (latissimus dorsi) and those that support the spine (erector spinae). When done on a exercise equipment rowing machine, sometimes called an erg, rowing also exercises muscles that extend and support the legs (quadriceps and hamstrings). In all cases, the abdominal and lower back muscles must be used in order to support the body and prevent back injury. This makes an exercise equipment rowing machine a great, nearly full body workout piece.

How to Choose the Best Scanner for Your Computer

Filed under: Computer — goldenblogtips @ 8:16 am

Computer scanners have become very important pieces of peripheral equipment for any computer. Many people use them to scan photographs, textbook pages, notes and letters, or anything else they would like to save an image of. This image is then stored on the hard drive of the computer. You can then arrange the images any way you would like, and can copy them onto a CD, or share them via email with someone else.

Choosing the best computer scanner for your needs requires a little thought and research. There are several criteria to consider when choosing a scanner. Let’s take a look at them one by one so you can know what to look for.

The first factor is resolution. This determines how detailed the scanned digital image will be, and how much space the file will take up on your computer’s hard drive. It is expressed in dots-per-inch, which is abbreviated as dpi. The more detail you want, the higher resolution you will need. The figures you will see in ads or in the store will show dpi across by dpi down. Low-end scanners will have a range of 600 by 1200 dpi, while higher quality scanners may be 2400 by 4800 dpi and up. You will want to try to get the highest resolution you can afford.
The second factor to consider is the scan area. You will need enough scan area to cover the largest of any documents you want to scan. If you want to scan from larger documents like newspapers or maps, you will certainly want something larger than 8 ½ x 11! Also, you need to consider how much desk space you have available for your scanner, so keep an eye on that too.

Third is to consider how the scanner will be hooked up to your computer. These days most scanners use one of the USB ports to connect. Check to see if your computer has any free USB ports, and check your computer’s owner’s manual to see what type USB ports they are. Older models have USB 1.1 ports, while newer ones are USB 2.0. Make sure they’re compatible!

Explaining the Benefits of the 1031 Tax Exchange

Filed under: Tax — goldenblogtips @ 8:15 am

This article will focus upon explaining the benefits of the 1031 tax exchange and why you should consider this if you hold property and want to sell in the near future.

To start off this article, there’ll be a bit of background given on a 1031 tax exchange. This used to be very vague until a publication was put out by the IRS back in 1991. A1031 tax exchange is used primarily for exchanging one property for another. This does not have to be done directly but rather can be done indirectly by using the services of a company licensed as a qualified intermediary. The requirements of being a qualified intermediary is not a subject which you need to know a great deal about a rather make sure that you use one of these companies when looking to do a 1031 tax exchange.

The benefit of using a 1031 tax exchange is that you are allowed to swap properties without having to pay capital gains on the property which you have sold. This allows you to build up your real estate wealth without having to worry about paying capital gains.

Discover the power of Christian financial planning

Filed under: General — goldenblogtips @ 8:14 am

The Bible transforms people. One of the ways the Bible transforms Christians is in our relationship to money—Christian financial planning is central to the teachings of the Bible. In fact, there are more references in the Bible to money than to salvation. Christian financial planning is important to God.

As a Christian, the most important thing you will do in this world is use your life to glorify God and serve others. Before you can have the relationship with your finances that God wants you to have, you must discover God’s purpose for your life. If you haven’t done that yet, ask your minister for guidance.

As soon as you discover God’s purpose for your life, everything becomes much clearer. Not easier, just clearer. As Christians, we are called to be good stewards of all that God has given us. Christian financial planning begins with giving back to God in our tithes and offerings to the church. When we plan our finances on a foundation of faith, God promises to open the windows of heaven to prosper us in everything we do.

Bose Wireless Headphones

Filed under: Technology — goldenblogtips @ 8:13 am

For more than 40 years, the Bose Corporation has been a leader in developing high quality audio equipment. Founded by Dr. Amar G. Bose in 1964, Bose has provided consumers with impressive stereo speakers, automotive systems, home theatre systems and more.

Currently, Bose offers three types of headphones: on-ear, around-ear, and in-ear.

Bose on-ear headphones weigh less than five ounces, making them exceptionally comfortable and easy on the ears. The ear cups utilize soft padded memory foam, which conforms to the shape of your ears. This is a nice feature if you don’t want to share your headphones!

Bose on-ear headphones are not wireless. Instead they include two detachable audio cables. One is 16-inches and intended for use with shirt-pocket or armband connections. The other is 43-inches and intended for use at home or office. Although these headphones do require the use of a cable, both the short and long cable attach to just one ear cup, as opposed to the conventional Y-cables. Bose on-ear headphones retail for around $180.

Bose around-ear headphones offer advanced ergonomics and a lightweight design. Weighing less than five ounces, these headphones provide hours of comfort without weighing you down. Bose around-ear headphones utilize a proprietary technology known as acoustic equalization, which helps to deliver rich nuances oftentimes lost in regular headphones.

Bose around-ear headphones are not wireless. Instead a 43-inch cable is attached to audio equipment such as a stereo or home theatre system. As with the on-ear headphones, this cable attaches to one ear cup and helps eliminate the possibility of becoming tangled in the cord. Bose around-ear headphones retail for around $140.

Bose in-ear headphones were developed for use with audio devices such as MP3, CD and DVD players. The ear cups include soft silicone tips that rest just outside the ear canal. Bose includes small, medium, and large tips, allowing users to adjust the size for a more accurate fit. These tips are washable and color coded.

Bose in-ear headphones are not wireless. They include a 16-inch cord for use with shirt-pocket and armband connections. These headphones are stored in a sleek carrying case and are easy to take with you. This set of Bose headphones retails for about $100.

Currently, Bose does not offer wireless headphones. However, the sound quality and rich undertones make them strong competitors in the marketplace. Although wireless headphones are more convenient, Bose headphones offer a rich quality sound that is hard to beat. If you care more about sound quality than convenience, the Bose brand might be the perfect solution for your listening needs.

BASICS OF ISLAM

BASICS OF ISLAM

Living in the Detroit area I can concur with this, we have more Muslims moving into our neighborhood monthly and they are very active in the schools, preaching all the time about their “rights” and how tolerant we should be of their faith.

However toleration is a one way street with them. We are to learn about Ramadan, etc. But they are not to learn about Easter or Christmas. What is below is very true.

“In God We Trust”
The Basics of Islam
This is a must read — it’s short but Very informative!

The Muslim religion is the fastest growing religion per capita in the United States, especially in the minority races!

Allah or Jesus?
By Rick Mathes

Last month I attended my annual training session that’s required for maintaining my state prison security clearance.

During the training session there was a presentation by three speakers representing the Roman Catholic, Protestant and Muslim faiths, who explained each of their beliefs.

I was particularly interested in what the Islamic Imam had to say.

The Imam gave a great presentation of the basics of Islam complete with a video. After the presentations, time was provided for questions and answers.

When it was my turn, I directed my question to the Imam and asked: “Please, correct me if I’m wrong, but I understand that most Imams and clerics of Islam have declared a holy jihad [Holy war] against the infidels of the world. And, that by killing an infidel, which is a command to all Muslims, they are assured of a place in Heaven. If that’s the case, can you give me the definition of an infidel?”

There was no disagreement with my statements and without hesitation, he replied, “Non-believers!”

I responded, “So, let me make sure I have this straight. All followers of Allah have been commanded to kill everyone who is not of your faith so they can go to Heaven. Is that correct?”

The expression on his face changed from one of authority and command to that of a little boy who had just been caught with his hand in the cookie jar.

He sheepishly replied, “Yes”.

I then stated, “Well, Sir, I have a real problem trying to imagine Pope John Paul II commanding all Catholics to kill those of your faith, or Dr. Stanley ordering Protestants to do the same in order to go to Heaven!”

The Imam was speechless.

I continued, “I also have a problem with being your friend when you and your brother clerics are telling your followers to kill me.

“Let me ask you a question. Would you rather have your Allah who tellsyou to kill me in order to go to Heaven, or my Jesus who tells me to love you because I am going to Heaven and He wants you to be with me?”

You could have heard a pin drop as the Imam hung his head in shame.
Needless to say, the organizers and/or promoters of the “Diversification” training seminar were not happy with Rick’s way of dealing with the Islamic Imam and exposing the truth about the Muslim beliefs.

I think everyone in the U.S. Should be required to read this, but with the liberal justice system, liberal media, and the ACLU, there is no way this will be widely publicized.

Please pass this on to all your e-mail contacts. This is a true story and the author, Rick Mathes, is a well-known leader in prison ministry.
