Our bodies are much like finely tuned machines. Every part of our body has a job to do. If something goes amiss there are signals that tell us that. It may be a pain, a bruise or an allergic reaction. Whatever it is, it is a message that says that something isn’t the way it should be. For anyone who has ever sneezed or gotten a rash because of an adverse reaction to something, they know how important it is to determine the root of the problem.

Church Sound System

Have you ever noticed that no matter what type of organization you are involved with there seems to be politics involved? This can become bothersome especially if you are new to an organization and are not aware of prior history and relationships. My husband and I moved to our present home about six years ago. At the time we moved we joined the local Catholic Church community. We did not volunteer for any committees immediately because we were burned out from being involved with our last parish. In the previous parish we had been on the fundraising committee, the environment committee the parish council and we volunteered to serve during services. Because we were so involved we found that it was hard to just go and worship. We fielded many calls from fellow parishioners that had complaints about various aspects of the fundraiser or about the way the environment looked. It was disheartening because the people that complained the loudest and most often were rarely involved in the work that goes along with keeping a parish running.

Baby Boy Names

Filed under: Kids, People — goldenblogtips @ 1:36 am

It seems that people are often in search of two things which can cause them a conflict. They want to be seen as a unique individual, and they do not want to be treated than other people. It seems that people crave standing out and fitting in at the same time. Recently people have been trying to give their children uniqueness by giving them unusual names. This has good and bad aspects. In a good light children see they are unique and know that they are an individual because they do not have to learn the concept of sharing the same name as someone else. As a difficulty unique names are often mispronounced and difficult to spell so children have to correct others. Many times people with unusual names are given nicknames so that people can pronounce them, they can also be teased or made fun of because of a strange name.

My Baby Boy Dolls

Filed under: Kids — goldenblogtips @ 1:36 am

Children are curious about their world, but they often end up reflecting on themselves. This is perfectly normal and natural. Children under the age of five are very focused on the self, and rest assured that does not mean they are going to grow up to be self-centered adults. At least, not in all cases anyway. By focusing on themselves, they learn about the world as it pertains to them. Once they grow, they then expand their view to other people and other things. Most children love dolls because they are reminded of themselves. Though many buy girl dolls for children, it is important to buy baby boy dolls as well.

If you look around, you will notice that most of the dolls out there for little girls are female. This makes sense, as children often see themselves in the dolls, and most boys don’t really care to play with them very much. However, it is confusing to children as to why boys are boys and why girls are girls. Buying baby boy dolls for children as well as the girl dolls can help them understand that boys are important too, even though they are different in nature.

Symptom of An Anxiety Attack

Filed under: Health, People — goldenblogtips @ 12:15 pm

When you are in some professions it is difficult to separate yourself from work because people like to ask for advice. This is something that I experience quite often because I am a social worker. When people find this out they like to ask my opinion about what they should do about different situations, usually involving one of their relatives or neighbors. This can get bothersome, but being in a helping profession this is part of the job. Many people do not know where to turn to access services for mental health needs so they find it more comfortable to ask someone they know how to do this.

Very Simple Web Design

Filed under: Internet, Web — goldenblogtips @ 12:13 pm

Strangely enough, in the early days of the Internet, simple Web design was not that highly regarded. You see, it was a real sign of talent to be able to design a complex website that worked. Simple website design was comparatively easy, because computer power was so limited. There just wasn’t enough speed on the Internet or enough processing power, so only the real mavericks could make a complex, flashy webpage and have it work.

Nowadays, however, simple Web design is the end all and be all among many web professionals. You see, people are getting sick of excessively elaborate, difficult to navigate websites. Don’t get me wrong – they have their place. Still, among business clients especially, having simple, elegant, and to the point website is viewed as the best way to go nowadays.

Travel Clothing

If you are not going very far for your vacation, you don’t have to think too hard about your travel clothing. You might just need to make sure you have what you need for the time you are going to be gone, and perhaps a little extra. However, there are times when you really have to think about what you are going to pack, and you might even have a hard time finding what you need. This is actually something that I have to think about by the end of the year.

The holidays conjure up all sorts of feelings in people. For families that have experienced happy harmonious celebrations the holidays are something to look forward to. For families that have a history of being dysfunctional the holidays my mean sad memories and dread at getting together again. For families that do not celebrate the holidays due to their belief’s it may be a time of feeling excluded and even alienated. No matter where you fall in this continuum the holidays are quickly approaching and gift lists and shopping needs to begin.
